I went along with the family to I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue – live at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall, a massive place – we were at the back, thus the photos, but at least we could hear! It was previously (when we last saw it, the last time it was in Nottingham, it was the much smaller and cosy Theatre Royal).
Was great fun – lots of typical Clue humour, along with some repeated jokes (funnily enough from the last time they were in Nottingham, ho ho), but great to hear a lot of original material. Jack Dee is my preferred new presenter – dead pan, much like Humphrey Lyttelton was. Sadly, I still think it suffers with his loss. Graeme Garden is my favourite of the panel, but all brought their own great humour.
In any case, it was especially silly having Kazoos and participating in utterly impossible songs for the panel to guess, then having an encore performance with We’ll Meet Again, as you can see below. If you get a chance, and like a whole lot of double-entendre (and a lot of not-double-entendre unlike the radio!), puns, horrible and great singing and sketches, improvisation and jokes, it certainly is worthwhile to go see 🙂 Try and catch a performance if you can 😀
